Phoenix, AZ

Robin  blue skies smudged with streaks of russet and burnt sienna embrace the majestic red-rock mountains, towering cacti and exotic palms, in the captivating Sonoran Desert landscape. Phoenix, the heart of this desert hub, provides the excitement of old west myths, and a thriving metropolis that's waiting to be explored.
The ancient Hohokam Indians were the first to set the stage for creating an oasis in the Arizona desert by digging primitive irrigation ditches and canals. The 1800's brought a colorful tapestry of cowboys, miners, pioneers, artisans and rogues who came together to tame the land. By 1926 Phoenix was officially put on the map when the Southern Pacific Railroad connected Phoenix with the East creating the resorts and hotels that began popping up across the desert.
Today, Western heritage still influences the culture, architecture, cuisine and art of this desert valley.

Hang your hat at the Wigwam Arizona Resort in Litchfield Park, Designated as a "Historic Hotel of America," the Wigwam is an iconic Arizona landmark and AAA  Four Diamond property and a member of Preferred Hotel's Lifestyle collection. Situated on an estate like setting, the resort spans over 440 acres with distinctive adobe architecture featured in the 331 casita-style  guest rooms including 72 suites. The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, four pools, five restaurants and bars ,and 54 holes of championship golf lead to lasting memories.
